Dr. Maya K. Poovelil graduated from the College of Dental Surgery, Manipal and did the Masters in Periodontology from the prestigious Manipal Academy of Higher Education. She hails from Kerala, where she has been working in hospitals and polyclinics and managed her own clinic for about 7 years besides being a part-time senior lecturer in Mar Baselious Dental College in India. She moved to Dubai in 2005, and have been serving the Dental department of (Aster), a prominent health care chain and has had a faithful client-based since then. Her additional qualifications include : 1.Diploma in Oral Implantology from the University of Sharjah 2. Hands-on training in Rotary Endodontics 3. Laser certification course from Aachen University, Germany 4. Advanced course in Veneers and Aesthetic Dentistry   She is experienced in Advanced Periodontal treatment modalities like flap surgery, gingivectomy, frenectomy, bone grafting, laser-assisted gum treatment, and gum depigmentation. She also has experience in root canal treatment, restorative and surgical procedures.   She has above 20 years of experience in treating adults and children, and has a holistic approach in treating dentition. She has excellent communication skills in providing preventive dental care instructions and motivating her patients.
